Welcome to the Bay Area’s Cox Conserves Heroes Program

To help honor the Bay Area’s unsung environmental volunteers and inspire neighborhood conservation, KTVU is proud to partner with The Trust for Public Land to present the Cox Conserves Heroes program.

Lynn Adams is the Bay Area’s 2013 Cox Conserves Hero, and her nonprofit of choice, Pacifica Beach Coalition, will receive $10,000.

The finalists each received $2,500 for their nonprofits of choice:

Cox Conserves Heroes recognizes local environmental volunteers and makes donations to local nonprofits on their behalf.  The national program takes place in cities across the county. The public nominates volunteers using a brief online form.

Next, a panel of local environmental leaders selects three finalists who are profiled on video. The public then watches the videos, gets inspired and votes for their favorite.

It's our way of honoring the unsung volunteers in our communities and supporting the organizations that matter to them.
